Welcome
Thank you for visiting my site. I’m a translator, editor and occasional writer working in both English and German. Most of my work consists of translations between the two languages in a variety of fields and formats. I translate entire books as well as short presentations, academic essays or grant applications. I also offer proofreading and copyediting services, mostly to German researchers writing in English.
Though a historian by training, with a particular interest in the history of ideas, I like to think of myself as a generalist and work with scholars in a variety of fields including literary studies, sociology, theology, archaeology and political science. After completing my PhD, I spent several years working in publishing (both general and academic) before going freelance and concentrating on my favourite part of the job – engaging with authors’ work and preparing it for publication.
